Ingolstadt Authorities Seize 165,000 Euros in Tax Evasion, Illegal Employment Raid
Authorities in Ingolstadt have seized around 165,000 euros from an entrepreneur suspected of tax evasion and illegal employment practices in the drywall and interior construction industry. The entrepreneur, whose name remains unknown, is under investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Ingolstadt.
The Main Customs Office Augsburg's Financial Control Black Work unit conducted a raid on the suspect's apartment, where they discovered and confiscated the substantial sum of cash. The entrepreneur failed to express the source of this money.
Investigations revealed that the suspect had not been paying taxes, invoices, or health insurance contributions, leading to a loss of over 80,000 euros. Despite a ban on operating his business, the entrepreneur continued to do so, demonstrating a flagrant disregard for the law.
The seized funds will be used to cover the unpaid taxes and contributions. The investigation is ongoing, and the entrepreneur's name may be revealed upon conclusion. Authorities remind businesses to comply with tax obligations and employment regulations to maintain a fair and legal business environment.
