Hastings Direct Partners with Road Safety Charity Brake
Hastings Direct, a leading UK insurance provider, has announced a new partnership with Brake, a road safety charity dedicated to ending road deaths and injuries. This strategic collaboration aims to enhance road safety and promote responsible driving in the UK.
As an Associate Partner, Hastings Direct will support Brake’s campaigns and initiatives, including raising awareness of key messages, targeting risky driving behaviours, and participating in fundraising activities. The partnership will focus on addressing key risk areas among young drivers, a critical group highlighted by Brake.
The partnership will leverage Hastings Direct’s telematics and data insights to encourage safer driving habits. By harnessing data-driven technology, the organisations aim to influence driver behaviour, especially among young drivers, and reduce road deaths and serious injuries.
Brake's Senior leaders and Toby van der Meer, CEO at Hastings Direct, have expressed their shared vision of safer UK roads. They emphasise the importance of partnership in achieving this goal, reflecting a committed and strategic collaboration.
Ross Moorlock, CEO at Brake, welcomed Hastings Direct as an Associate Partner and looks forward to working together. This partnership is expected to increase public awareness of safe driving practices, provide support for post-crash care, and advocate for safer road policies through combined expertise and resources.
In addition to the Brake partnership, Hastings Direct has also re-appointed insurance law firm BLM to handle large and complex loss claims in the UK and Ireland for a three-year partnership. Furthermore, Hastings Direct has entered into a partnership with Verisk UKBuildings to enhance its household underwriting service capabilities. Autoglass® BodyRepair has also signed a three-year contract with Hastings Direct to provide mobile body repair services to their customers in the UK.
This new partnership between Hastings Direct and Brake represents a significant step forward in driving improvements in road safety outcomes across the UK. With a shared commitment to safer roads, both organisations are poised to make a meaningful impact on road safety and promote responsible driving behaviours.
