Pepe Millionaire Rises in Crypto World
Investor Switches from Dogecoin to Pepe Cryptocurrency, Expanding His Memecoin Portfolio
Yep, you heard it right! The previous Dogecoin Millionaire, Glauber Contessoto, is now known as the Pepe Millionaire. Back in winter 2024, he swapped all of his Ethereum holdings for the meme coin, Pepe.
Glauber hit the crypto scene in 2021, becoming the self-proclaimed Dogecoin Millionaire, a title he proudly wore. Now, a few years later, he's swapped that title for the Pepe Millionaire moniker. With approx $1.116 million worth of PEPE across six wallets, he's definitely earned it.
He still holds a "little bit over" 5 million DOGE, a whiskey-loving dog-themed cryptocurrency, worth about $920,000 at current prices. Although he claimed he'd sell some DOGE when Bitcoin reached its peak, he hasn't yet.
Contessoto made a smart move when he swapped his ETH for Pepe in Feb 2024, selling out hundreds of thousands of dollars worth. Since then, Pepe's price has risen 36.96%. And despite the alt-right movement's adoption of Pepe as a hate symbol, Contessoto considers it a symbol of internet culture, especially compared to the family-friendly DOGE.
Contessoto is still chasing after being a millionaire in meme coins Brett and Floki too. He invested $100,000 each back in 2024, hoping to build his meme coin empire. His main source of capital is said to be his monthly income of $10,000 from YouTube, a job doing voiceovers for HipHopDX, and various other revenue streams like sponsored posts and marketing campaigns.
Ever since becoming a crypto sensation, Contessoto has been careful about selling any of his holdings. However, he revealed he now plans to sell at least half of his Dogecoin by the end of 2025. Hoping this time he gets it right and cashes in while the crypto market's still hot!
