Jungheinrich: Expanding Globally and Investing in Automation
Jungheinrich boosts purchasing plans, seeking to accelerate growth - Jungheinrich intends to execute takeovers and boost development
Ready to dominate the material handling world by 2030, Jungheinrich is gunning for a 10 billion euro revenue stream and an impressive 10% EBIT (that's earnings before interest and taxes for the uncultured). Ambitious? Oh, you bet your backhoe it is!
This German forklift titan isn't just sitting pretty, though. They're eyeing expansion beyond Europe's borders, specifically in North America and the Asia-Pacific region, where they aim to pour over one billion euros into acquisitions to supercharge their revenue. Yeah, you read that right! Global ambitions don't come cheap!
Unfortunately, demand for warehouse equipment in Europe has been a teensy bit sluggish. But the management, led by CEO Lars Brzoska, is unwavering in their confidence to reach their self-imposed targets for the year. Maybe it's the optimistic aura of Hamburg that's infecting them!
In the first quarter of this year, order intake was up 1.7% to a cool 1.4 billion euros, revenue was up 2.4% to 1.3 billion euros, and EBIT kissed the skies with a 3% boost, maintaining a handsome 8.0% operating margin. After taxes, they earned a decent 68.9 million euros, a 1.5% bump.
Jungheinrich: More Than Just a Forklift Manufacturer
Jungheinrich is a force to be reckoned with in the material handling industry. They're not just about trucks and tweakers—they're about innovation and growth. Here are a few things they've been up to:
