Hillier began his career at Schroders before moving on to WestLB, Deutsche Asset Management, and Kames Capital, where he served as head of International Equities. Most recently, he oversaw investment teams and chaired the Investment Committee at Royal London Asset Management.
The appointment of Hillier is part of Jupiter Asset Management's strategy to attract top talent in active investing. The firm has recently added outstanding investment talent to its team, as it seeks to refine its investment processes and broaden its appeal to a wider range of clients.
In his new role, Hillier will be responsible for developing new investment propositions and attracting talent. He looks forward to working with his new colleagues at Jupiter Asset Management to help build on the positive momentum at the firm.
Hillier expressed his delight at joining Jupiter Asset Management due to its focus on truly active investing and client-centric philosophy. He is grateful for the work done by Kiran and Matt at Jupiter Asset Management and wishes them well in their next chapter.

In addition to the appointment of Hillier, Jupiter Asset Management has made significant moves in the market. The firm has acquired the investment team and assets of Origin Asset Management and is seeking to acquire CCLA Investment Management, subject to regulatory approval.
As Jupiter Asset Management continues to grow and evolve, it is clear that the firm is committed to attracting top talent and making strategic acquisitions to position itself for long-term success. With the addition of Piers Hillier as CIO, the firm is well-positioned to drive positive client outcomes and growth across the Group.
