Kaufland Revitalizes Vacant Complex in Mülheim-Kärlich, Opening New Branch on Dec 4, 2025
Kaufland is revitalising a long-vacant building complex in Gewerbepark Mülheim-Kärlich, set to open its new branch on December 4, 2025. This will be the fifth location for the retailer in the Koblenz region, joining existing stores in Bendorf, Andernach, Mayen, and Neuwied.
The new market will span around 10,000 square metres and stock approximately 30,000 items, catering to daily food and essential news. The location, previously occupied by Real until March 2024, has been dormant since then.
NKD, a popular fashion and lifestyle retailer, will also open a new store in the same Gewerbepark Mülheim-Kärlich in 2025, situated next to the revamped Kaufland branch.
Kaufland's investment in the renovation of the building complex signals a boost for the local economy and retail sector. The new branch, along with NKD's upcoming store, will provide more shopping news for residents and contribute to the area's revitalisation.
