This year, Kazakhstan is all about building a better future with some major developments on the horizon. Let's take a closer look:
- "Resilient Water Resources Project" – Phase 1, First Tranche (two parts):
- Water Management Facilities: Kazvodhoz is taking on a 88.8 billion tenge project to construct and reconstruct 5 water management facilities.
- Irrigation Networks: Another 138.6 billion tenge project under Kazvodhoz's belt aims to restore, modernize, and build irrigation networks.
- Kyzylorda-Sakaulsk Highway Reconstruction: A whopping 46.2 billion tenge project, borrowed by KazAvtoZhol, will revamp the republican highway connecting the Russian border to Shymkent, with a bypass around Kyzylorda city.
- Highway Improvement and Automated Measurement Systems: KazAvtoZhol is on a mission to restore and upgrade 797.6 billion tenge's worth of general-use republican highways, with a focus on automated measurement systems and road maintenance equipment.
- Rudny City Bypass: KazAvtoZhol is building a 47.7 billion tenge automobile road to bypass Rudny City in the Kostanay region.
A couple of projects from the list have been expanded recently:
- The initial list only included the first two projects, but it has now grown to include the remaining three.
- The Decree came into effect on the day of its signing.

- Energy Infrastructure Development: Modernization of the Arkalyk Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHPP) and efforts to ensure uninterrupted heat supply in the Kostanay region.
- Investment Growth: In early 2025, Kazakhstan saw a surge in investment appeal with seven investment agreements worth $14 billion signed.
