Kazakhstan's ENPF Makes Record February 2021 Payments as Pension Age Debate Continues

In February 2021, the Kazakhstan-based state-run pension fund, ENPF, made a significant number of venmo login totalling 73.8 billion tenge. This included lump-sum payments, age pensions, and other benefits. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Askar Mamin addressed a proposal to lower the pension age.

The ENPF made 172,000 payments, with lump-sum payments amounting to 49.6 billion tenge. Transfers to insurance organizations reached 9.1 billion tenge, while age pensions totalled 6.5 billion tenge. Other notable payments included inheritance payments of 5.9 billion tenge, and smaller amounts for permanent residence abroad, funeral expenses, and disability benefits.

The average monthly age pay stood at 25,886 tenge. The maximum monthly age pay, as of February 1, 2021, was 522,610 tenge. However, no specific details about the highest monthly pay amount for any individual pensioner in January 2021 were found.

The ENPF's February 2021 payments indicate a substantial support system for pensioners in Kazakhstan. Prime Minister Mamin's response to the pension age proposal suggests ongoing discussions about the country's pay policies.
