In a significant move, Locality Streaming, a leading local video solutions provider, announced a strategic partnership with Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) on February 29, 2024. This collaboration aims to provide brand advertisers with access to premium content and sports in local markets, and to diversify WBD's advertiser base, generating additional revenue streams.

The partnership unites some of the industry's top players, technology, and premium inventory in both broadcast and streaming. This includes WBD's portfolio of brands and platforms, such as TNT Sports, CNN, Max, and discovery+, through 2024.

Keith Kazerman, president of Locality Streaming, stated that the partnership is a testament to Locality's mission to help brands unlock the power of local. He further added that the collaboration is expected to create more opportunities for brand advertisers looking to reach viewers in local markets.

Bill Murray, SVP Programmatic Solutions at Warner Bros Discovery, stated that the Locality partnership will grow opportunities for brand advertisers. He emphasised that the holistic approach of the partnership is designed to address the challenges faced by advertisers and channel more investments into local video advertising.

The Local segment is one of the fastest growing in streaming advertising. This partnership is anticipated to contribute to the growth of the local video advertising sector and capitalise on the heightened engagement of local viewers with news, sports, and entertainment content.

Locality Streaming has been enhancing its ad capabilities in local television across major broadcast networks and streaming providers since June 2023. The strategic alliance between the two companies is part of Locality's efforts to build a bridge between brands and location-based markets.

The partnership between Locality and Warner Bros Discovery is expected to address the challenges faced by advertisers, channel more investments into local video advertising, and contribute to the growth of the local video advertising sector.
