Luxury Automobile BMW 7 Series Immersed in Lake During Jet Ski Debut
In early September, a luxury BMW 7 Series sedan found itself submerged in Lake Włocławek, Poland, after an attempt to launch a jet ski from the vehicle went awry. A video of the incident, which has been available on YouTube for eight days, shows the car backing down a boat ramp too far, submerging the rear wheels, and continuing to reverse into the lake. The video, supplemented by photos taken at the scene, shows the BMW 7 Series, estimated to cost around $100,000, with an open window and door, ensuring lasting interior damage in hard-to-reach places. At around 0:58 in the video, you can see the car being pulled from the lake via heavy duty straps and cables. However, the damage doesn't seem to be limited to the car's exterior. There's a substantial amount of damage to the car's electronics and possibly engine, as a result of the incident. The driver did not apply the brakes during the incident, and the car was unable to leave the water under its own power after submerging. The name of the driver has not been publicly disclosed, but the incident serves as a cautionary tale about what not to do when launching a jet ski from a vehicle. The jet ski was attached to the BMW 7 Series on a trailer during the incident. Fortunately, the Polish fire company reported no injuries in the incident. The fire company Włocławek112Info posted about the incident on their Facebook page. The video shows the car's automatic windshield wipers in operation, a stark reminder of the unexpected turn of events. The incident has garnered attention for its unusual nature, and serves as a reminder to always exercise caution when operating vehicles in unusual circumstances.
