Main Customs Office Augsburg Seizes €165K in Cash, Busts Tax Evasion Case

The Main Customs Office Augsburg's Financial Control Black Work unit has made a significant seizure in the Ingolstadt area. Approximately €165,000 in cash was confiscated, leading to the unravelling of a tax evasion case involving a drywall and interior construction business. The entrepreneur, who was operating their business despite a ban, had been evading taxes, invoices, and health insurance contributions, resulting in a loss of over €80,000 to the state. During a search of the suspect's residence, approximately €165,000 in cash was found and subsequently seized. The entrepreneur was unable to provide evidence for the origin of the seized cash app money. The Hauptzollamt Augsburg's action has led to the recovery of a substantial amount of unpaid taxes. The entrepreneur's identity remains undisclosed, pending further legal proceedings.
