In the northern district of Dresden, construction work at the intersection of Stauffenbergallee and Königsbrücker Straße will take place from August 1 to August 4, 2025. This work will result in some changes to public transportation lines 7, 8, and 64.

Lines 7 and 8 will be replaced by a substitute bus service (Ersatzverkehr EV7/8) running the route Albertplatz – Stauffenbergallee – Infineon Süd – Klotzsche, Infineon. This replacement route accounts for the construction-related detours.

Regarding line 64, no specific schedule or route modification for this line during this period has been confirmed from the available data.

These changes are part of ongoing schedule adjustments during the summer holidays and are planned to accommodate the construction at Stauffenbergallee and Königsbrücker Straße. The timetable information service reflects these route changes for lines 7 and 8.

For those traveling from Waldschlößchenbrücke to the motorway, the detour via Tannenstraße and Hans-Oster-Straße will be necessary for both inbound and outbound traffic. Tannenstraße and Hans-Oster-Straße will temporarily become one-way streets in the direction of Stauffenbergallee.

Motorists are advised to avoid the intersection as much as possible over the weekend. Those traveling from Striesen to Marienallee can still use the eastern section of line 64, while those traveling from Kaditz to Stauffenbergallee can use the western section of the line.

On Stauffenbergallee towards Waldschlößchenbrücke, only right turns towards Albertplatz will be possible. The inbound lane on Königsbrücker Straße will remain open, but left turns onto Stauffenbergallee will not be possible.

Between Albertplatz and Infineon Süd, a replacement bus service (EV 7/8) will operate for both lines 7 and 8. Between Hellerau and Weixdorf, tram line 47 will run as a shuttle, picking up passengers from the replacement service at Infineon Süd. For passengers with destinations on bus lines 72 and 77, the replacement bus will run as far as Infineon Nord.

Line 8 will only run as far as Albertplatz from Sachsenallee and will use Augustusbrücke for turning around at Postplatz. Line 7 will only run as far as Albertplatz from the city center and will turn around at Neustadt station on Eisenbahnstraße.

During this period, there will be no tram traffic on Augustusbrücke between 10:30 AM and 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday due to a sports event in the city center.

Finance departments in both the public-transit industry and private transportation sectors might need to adjust their schedules due to the construction work at Stauffenbergallee and Königsbrücker Straße in Dresden, from August 1 to August 4, 2025. This change is expected to affect public-transit lines 7, 8, and 64, and would necessitate the implementation of substitute services, such as bus line EV7/8, to maintain transportation mobility in the area during the construction period.
