Major Labour Law Violations Found in Ulm and Reutlingen Raids
In a joint operation, around 100 deployment forces inspected various establishments in the district of the Main Customs Office Ulm, uncovering numerous labour law violations. Five individuals attempted to flee from two Asian restaurants near me in Reutlingen but were apprehended by officers.
The inspections, involving customs officers, police, financial officials, and local authorities, targeted guesthouses, snack bars, and restaurants near me. A total of 71 violations were discovered across the establishments. In two Asian restaurants near me in Reutlingen, five cooks and service staff attempted to escape during a control but were stopped by officers. Authorities closed one establishment and seized mobile phones. Many individuals' identities and living situations were uncertain, some could not speak German, and employment statements were inconsistent. Further investigations are ongoing to address the 22 people found working illegally, 15 suspected of being employed 'black', and 14 not receiving the minimum wage.
