Martin John Workshop Honored Twice for Environmental Commitment
Martin John Mechanical Workshop in Rossatal, Fuerth, has been recognised twice, in 2022 and 2021, for its commitment to environmental protection. The workshop is one of over 1,600 companies in Bavaria, and 20 in Fuerth, to qualify for the Bavarian Environmental Pact.
The Bavarian Environmental Pact encourages businesses to exceed legal environmental standards. Martin John Mechanical Workshop, established in 1970, is a specialist in CNC milling and turning parts production. It generates a significant portion of its energy from a photovoltaic system and uses wood chip heating for heat.
The workshop's dedication to sustainability is evident in its use of washable reusable cleaning cloths, reusable transport packaging, LED lighting, and company bicycles. These measures, along with its participation in the pact, demonstrate its commitment to making its production as climate-neutral as possible.
The pact, which is free, voluntary, and open to all companies, aims to achieve economically compatible and socially balanced environmental and climate protection that promotes innovation. Further information about the pact and regional economic development in Fuerth is available online.
Martin John Mechanical Workshop's recognition by the Bavarian Environmental Pact highlights its ongoing efforts to enhance environmental and climate protection measures. Its use of renewable energy sources and sustainable practices sets an example for other businesses in the region.
