McDonald's has recently experienced a temporary lettuce shortage at some of its restaurants across the United States, following the return of the popular Snack Wrap after a nine-year hiatus.

Despite the temporary lettuce shortage, the company has addressed and stabilized the supply since then. McDonald's noted that while they followed their typical supply forecasting processes, they did not expect such a "pent-up demand." The shortages were mostly local and brief, with the company confirming that the overall lettuce supply was adequate nationwide and that the issue has since been resolved.

The Snack Wrap's return was promoted by McDonald's for several months, with hints on social media and an announcement by Joe Erlinger on "Good Morning America." The return of the Snack Wrap triggered unexpected demand, depleting lettuce supplies at some restaurants.
