Megan Roberts has joined Paul Hastings as a partner in their Chicago office.
Paul Hastings, a globally recognized law firm, has bolstered its Asset-Backed Finance practice with the addition of Megan Roberts as a partner in its Chicago office. Roberts brings a wealth of experience in various asset classes, including student loans, unsecured consumer loans, auto loans, and trade receivables.
Roberts' extensive expertise is highly valued by the firm, which believes she is a premier talent that will help them continue to take more market share. The firm's structured credit practice, already highly regarded for securitization and specialty finance products, is set to benefit significantly from Roberts' addition.
Frank Lopez, the Firm Chair at Paul Hastings, expressed his delight at welcoming Roberts to the team. He noted that her addition is part of Paul Hastings' ongoing growth and will further strengthen the firm's capabilities in the asset-backed finance space.
In her previous role at Sidley Austin, Roberts advised on asset-backed finance transactions, including capital markets and private securitizations. Notable deals include advising significant clients like Barclays, Blackstone, Carlyle, and KKR on the acquisition of a $10.1 billion portfolio of private student loans from Discover Bank and a $7.2 billion portfolio of super-prime recreational vehicle loans from BMO Bank.
Roberts' addition to Paul Hastings comes on the heels of strategic success in expanding market share with leading asset manager and investment bank clients. The firm's Asset-Backed Finance practice has been consistently ranked as the number one in the U.S. and the U.K.
With Roberts' arrival, the firm is poised to meet the growing needs of its clients for more sophisticated and customized asset-backed financing solutions.
