Mehmet Kinak to Receive STA's 2025 Dictum Meum Pactum Award
Mehmet Kinak, Global Head of Equity Trading at T. Rowe Price, Honored with Dictum Meum Pactum Award
Mehmet Kinak, a distinguished figure in the financial services industry, has been recognized for his exceptional contributions with the prestigious Dictum Meum Pactum (DMP) Award. The award, presented by the Security Traders Association (STA), honors individuals who demonstrate unwavering commitment and integrity in the industry.
Kinak, the Global Head of Equity Trading at T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., will receive the DMP Award at STA's 92nd Annual Market Structure Conference in Washington DC, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
With over two decades of involvement in financial services, Kinak joined T. Rowe Price in 2000 and has progressed through various roles, including portfolio accounting, investment liaison, portfolio implementation manager, electronic trader, and algorithmic trading and market structure advocacy before assuming his current expanded leadership role in 2021.
Kinak is widely recognized for his expertise and leadership in equity trading and market structure. He serves as Co-Chair of the New York Stock Exchange’s Institutional Traders Advisory Committee and holds memberships on similar advisory committees for CBOE Global Markets, IEX Group, and Nasdaq. Additionally, he chairs the Investment Company Institute’s Equity Market Structure Advisory Committee.
In addition to his roles at T. Rowe Price, Kinak is a member of Virginia Tech's Finance Advisory Board and a board member of the National Organization of Investment Professionals (NOIP). He is also a frequent contributor at forums surrounding U.S. equity markets.
Kinak earned a B.S. in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. and currently oversees the firm's global trading desks, leading efforts to improve trade execution strategies.
