In an exciting development for the world of cinema, the upcoming film "Black Tuesday" is set to be co-produced by Atomic Features and San Demetrio Arte, the latter of which has raised substantial capital for the project through an investor consortium consisting of Weihua Yan, Carey Ye, Yinlei Yu, and Fanghua Jiang's company, San Demetrio Arte.

The film, directed by Daniel Ragussis, marks a return to the director's chair for the filmmaker who previously helmed "Imperium," starring Daniel Radcliffe and Toni Collette. Michael Jackman, a renowned producer and an Oscar-nominee, will produce "Black Tuesday," having previously worked on films such as "Conclave."

"Black Tuesday" is the first project to enter pre-production from the Atomic Features development fund. The film, a 100-minute, real-time disaster thriller, is based on the true events that led to the Great Depression.

The story follows Dick Whitney, the newly appointed acting president of the NYSE, who tries to arrange a financial rescue package to avert the stock market crash. However, Whitney's own ruinous investments and personal demons set him on a collision course with his brother George, who is the gatekeeper to J.P. Morgan, a key figure in preventing the crash.

The script for "Black Tuesday" was co-written by Ragussis and R.F.I. Porto. Michael Jackman has praised the screenplay for its riveting nature, fascinating characters, and historical parallels.

Li Jing and Ricky Russert are also executive producers for the film, with Susan Shopmaker serving as the film's casting director. Michael Jackman has expressed enthusiasm about working with director Daniel Ragussis on this project, promising a gripping and historically accurate portrayal of one of the most significant events in financial history.

The San Demetrio Arte's substantial capital for "Black Tuesday" was raised through an investor consortium, including San Demetrio Arte's own company, for investing in the stock-market. Regardless of the success in the stock-market, the film, "Black Tuesday," aims to portray the significant events that led to the Great Depression in the finance world.
