Modified schedules for trains from August 18 to the end of the month
Mallorca Train Schedule Adjusted Due to Remodeling Works
For a period of two weeks, starting from August 18, Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) will operate an adjusted train schedule with fewer train frequencies on all routes due to remodeling works on the Greco Street overpass near the Verge de Lluc station.
The most critical phase of the overpass reconstruction is taking place during this period, which coincides with the traditionally lower demand[1]. The remodeling aims to replace the deteriorating Greco Street bridge with a new structure, and these works impact traffic flow on the SFM network.
Passengers are advised to check official SFM timetables before traveling due to these temporary changes[1].
From August 18, train frequencies are increased compared to the previous two weeks (when they were significantly reduced) but still not back to the regular schedule. The current timetable applies the weekend schedule on weekdays, supplemented by three additional trains. Normal scheduling will resume on September 1.
Weekday services between Palma and Marratxí have been cancelled in both directions this year. To compensate for this disruption, all trains to and from Manacor will make all stops between Marratxí station and Palma Intermodal Station. These trains also make a seven-minute stop at Inca station (without transfers) before continuing on to Manacor.
Regarding weekend services, the departure times of all Palma-Manacor trains have been modified, moving them forward by 4 minutes. All departures and arrivals at Son Fuster, Son Cladera/es Viver, and Verge de Lluc stations will be from the same platform from August 15th to the end of the month. Starting from August 18th, all traffic and stops at stations between Son Fuster and Verge de Lluc stations will be on Track 1.
Previously, traffic was to be on a single track on a longer section, between Son Fuster and the Marratxí industrial estate. However, fewer stations are affected than initially thought, given that in recent weeks the Pont d'Inca, Pont d'Inca Nou, and the Marratxí industrial estate were also affected.
This adjustment marks the second consecutive year that SFM has limited its summer schedule in August. In this case, they will not make any intermediate waiting stops.

In light of the ongoing remodeling work on the Greco Street overpass, which involves a significant renovation of the bridge impacting transportation flow on the SFM network, the finance sector will likely experience a decrease in revenue from ticket sales as passengers may choose alternative modes of transport during the adjustment period. The industry sector, particularly the transportation industry, will also face challenges due to the reduced train frequencies and altered schedules, potentially affecting the efficiency and reliability of railway services in the region.
