Nazira Inspection: IAS Officer Ensures Transparency in PMGKAY Ration Distribution
In Nazira, Co-District Commissioner Pratibha Meshram (IAS) led an inspection team during the Anna Sewa Din program. The team, including Kalyan Jyoti Hazarika, Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, visited Fair Price Shops (FPS) to ensure transparency and accountability in the distribution process.
Pratibha Meshram stressed the importance of adhering to government guidelines. She urged all dealers to maintain transparency and prevent any beneficiary from being deprived of their entitled ration. The inspection team verified various documents, including stock registers and distribution records, maintained by FPS dealers. Additionally, they physically checked the quality and quantity of rice being distributed under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY). The team also interacted with beneficiaries to gather feedback and ensure all entitled households received their due allotment.
The inspection in Nazira Co-District aimed to strengthen the distribution process under the PMGKAY. Pratibha Meshram's leadership ensured strict adherence to guidelines, transparent record-keeping, and beneficiary satisfaction.
