New CEO announced by WiseTech Global

In a significant move, Sydney-based logistics software developer WiseTech Global has announced the appointment of Zubin Appoo as its new permanent CEO, effective from July 2025 [1][3].

Appoo, with over 20 years of experience in technology leadership, product development, and scaling technology-driven businesses, played a foundational role in WiseTech’s rapid growth from 2004 to 2018 [1]. During this period, he worked closely with co-founder Richard White, shaping the company's growth strategy and driving its impact on the global logistics industry.

Since leaving WiseTech in 2018, Appoo has held executive roles in various companies, including Chief Technology Officer at InLoop, Flexischools, and HICAPS, and CEO at Find a Carer, broadening his leadership and innovation experience across multiple sectors [1].

As CEO, Appoo aims to build on WiseTech’s success by driving long-term growth and expanding its vision to become the "operating system for global trade and logistics." He is also a shareholder of WiseTech since 2005 and expresses strong commitment to the company’s future [1].

WiseTech Global's best-known product is the CargoWise platform, used by many of the world's largest logistics providers. The company serves major freight and supply chain companies across nearly 200 countries [2].

Richard White, who resigned as CEO of WiseTech Global in 2024 due to legal issues tied to his personal life, remains as executive chair and Chief Technology Officer of the company [4]. Andrew Cartledge, who had been serving as interim CEO since 2024, will retire at the end of 2025.

Zubin Appoo's compensation package includes a $700,000 salary, a fixed equity grant of $700,000, a performance incentive of up to $700,000, and a stretch incentive of up to $350,000, all delivered in share rights [5]. The total potential value of Appoo’s annual compensation is $2.45 million [5].

Richard White is ranked seventh on Australia's 50 Richest list with a net worth of US$10.1 billion [6].
