Nizhny Novgorod Appoints Mikhail Kurenkov as Minister of Energy and Housing

Mikhail Kurenkov has been serving as the Minister of Energy and Housing and Utilities of the Nizhny Novgorod region since May 16, 2024. His appointment was officially signed into effect by Governor Gleb Nikitin on October 3, 2025.

Kurenkov brings over 20 years of experience in the housing and utilities sector of the Nizhny Novgorod region to his ministerial role. After graduating, he began his career at the regional State Housing Supervision Authority, climbing the ranks from chief specialist to department head over a decade.

In 2021, Kurenkov joined the Ministry of Energy and Housing and Utilities, initially serving as the head of a department before his recent promotion to minister.

Mikhail Kurenkov's extensive experience and dedication to the sector make him a valuable addition to the Nizhny Novgorod regional government. His appointment as minister reflects the region's commitment to expertise and continuity in its leadership.
