No airBaltic CEO is accused of any financial entanglements or conflicting personal interests.

The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has concluded its investigation into potential conflicts of interest involving Martijn Gauss, the chairman of the board of airBaltic, and the German company "2e Systems GmbH".

The investigation, which was a continuation of KNAB's check on Gauss' activities, focused on his relationship with "2e Systems GmbH" and any potential conflicts of interest with his duties at airBaltic.

The assessment by KNAB has found no evidence of Gauss' involvement with "2e Systems GmbH" prior to joining airBaltic. Furthermore, the investigation did not find any evidence that Gauss was a shareholder or beneficial owner of "2e Systems GmbH".

It was also established that airBaltic began its cooperation with "2e Systems GmbH" before Gauss joined the company. The German company provides services and receives remuneration from airBaltic.

The investigation did not find any violations of the conflict of interest prevention regulations by Gauss. In fact, the KNAB office is convinced that Gauss fulfilled his duties in accordance with the conflict of interest prevention regulations.

This assessment by KNAB does not contradict the previous assessment by the bureau that Gauss fulfilled his duties in accordance with the conflict of interest prevention regulations. Moreover, it did not find any new evidence related to Gauss' duties as a chairman of the board of airBaltic.

The investigation did not uncover any conflicts of interest between "2e Systems GmbH" and Gauss' duties at airBaltic.

The investigation findings were recently stated to the media by KNAB, thereby putting an end to the conflict of interest allegations involving Gauss and airBaltic.

The investigation by KNAB about potential conflicts of interest between Martijn Gauss and "2e Systems GmbH" has concluded, revealing no evidence of violation of conflict of interest prevention regulations by Gauss. This leads to the contradiction of any previous allegations made in the media. Subsequently, the media reported the findings of the KNAB investigation, providing closure to the controversy surrounding Gauss' role as the chairman of airBaltic and his association with "2e Systems GmbH". Furthermore, the cooperation between airBaltic and "2e Systems GmbH" in business transactions was established to have predated Gauss' tenure at airBaltic.
