Oil infrastructure operational in Isargestade
In the heart of Landshut, construction work at the Isargestade is currently underway, with Stadtwerke Landshut leading the project to lay district heating pipelines. The project, which started in early September, is expected to continue until mid-October.
The initial phase of work focuses on the area between Podewilsstraße and Johann-Weiß-Weg. During this phase, Isargestade will be closed to traffic, and motorists are urged to follow the closure and detour signs, no-parking zones, and navigate around the construction site accordingly.
Motorists will be rerouted via specific routes: Podewilsstraße - Schlachthofstraße - Stethaimerstraße - John-F.-Kennedy-Platz - Seligenthaler Straße - Bismarckplatz - Zweibručenstraße, or Podewilsstraße - Am Alten Viehmarkt - Bischof-Sailer-Platz - Heilig-Geist-Gasse - Postplatz and Zweibručenstraße. Local residents can still access the parking lot of the German Pension Insurance/ Ussar Villa from Zweibručenstraße.
The subsequent second phase, which requires closure between Zweibručenstraße and Johann-Weiß-Weg, has not yet begun. When it does, bus lines 7, X3, 501, and 530 will be rerouted. During the construction, a temporary stop for buses will be set up in front of the main building of the Stadtwerke. The Isargestade and Stadtwerke (inbound) stops will not be served.
Pedestrians and cyclists can pass throughout the construction period. Access for local residents from Podewilsstraße to Johann-Weiß-Weg/ Litschengasse will remain open.
It is important to note that the rerouting of buses does not affect the access for local residents from Podewilsstraße to Johann-Weiß-Weg/ Litschengasse, which remains open. Buses will be redirected in both directions via Postplatz and Am Alten Viehmarkt.
We advise all commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and to follow the signs and instructions provided to ensure a smooth and safe travel experience during the construction period.
