Omsk's ex-mayor acquired control over three businesses
In a recent turn of events, the ownership of three real estate management companies in Omsk, previously owned by former Mayor Viktor Schreyder, has been transferred to Artem Burkov. The companies, which operate in the "Mayak" shopping center and "Mayak Mall", were co-owned by Schreyder and his associate, Natalia Martyanova.
Viktor Schreyder, who served as the Mayor of Omsk from 2005 to 2011, held significant stakes in these companies. He owned 80% of the shares in "Altair" and 90% of the shares in "Mayak Mall", while his partnership with Martyanova saw him own 50% of the shares in "Socialnaya Pomoshch-2001". The companies, all neighbouring buildings, are known for their engagement in the management of both their own and rented real estate.
Martyanova, who is also the main co-owner of the companies owned by Schreyder, is a well-known figure in Omsk circles, rumoured to be Schreyder's sister-in-law, although there are no official confirmations.
Schreyder, who stepped down as Mayor in 2011, was later elected to the State Duma in 2011 and 2016. However, in 2021, he attempted to run for the Omsk Oblast Legislative Assembly but withdrew from the primaries at the last moment.
Interestingly, the former Bank "Otkritie" office, located in Omsk, is not owned by any of Schreyder's companies. As of now, this office is up for sale.
The current ownership change marks a new chapter for these real estate companies in Omsk. For more detailed background or updates on these companies, feel free to ask!
What is the financial implication of the transfer of ownership of Schreyder's real estate companies to Artem Burkov, considering Schreyder's significant stakes in 'Altair', 'Mayak Mall', and 'Socialnaya Pomoshch-2001'? In light of this transition, are there potential opportunities for investing in the real-estate business sector in Omsk, by considering the sale of the former Bank "Otkritie" office?
