Magdeburger Verkehrsbetriebe Temporarily Closes Sales Facilities for Staff Training

In a recent announcement, Magdeburger Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH & Co. KG (MVB) has revealed that their sales facilities, customer center, and service hotline will be closed on September 18, 2023. This decision comes as a result of an internal staff training day.

During the closure, passengers can still access tickets and information through various alternative means. Ticket vending machines are available in all trams and buses, offering a convenient solution for purchasing tickets. Additionally, the smartphone apps FAIRTIQ and easy.GO can also be utilised for ticket purchases.

Numerous external sales points, such as lottery shops, kiosks, and post offices, will remain open during the closure, ensuring that ticket purchases can still be made in person. MVB encourages passengers to use these locations as an alternative during the temporary closure.

For any queries or updates during the closure, passengers are advised to follow MVB's social media channels. The managing director of MVB around that time is Birgit Münster-Rendel, who is mentioned as the CEO in 2025. However, the specific individual responsible for the internal staff training on September 18, 2023, is not explicitly named in the available search results.

MVB would like to express their gratitude for passengers' understanding during this time as they strive to improve their services through staff training and development.
