Our Company Secures €100M Kazakhstan Maintenance Deal
Our company has secured its first maintenance contract in Kazakhstan, a strategic market due to its rapid economic growth and modernization efforts. The contract, worth nearly €100 million, is a significant step for our company, making us a major player in the maintenance of rolling stock in Kazakhstan.
The contract, signed with AO Locomotive, a subsidiary of Kazakh railways KTZ, covers the maintenance, overhaul, and modernization of 27 KZ4AC passenger locomotives for a period of 25 years. This demonstrates KTZ's confidence in our company's technologies and expertise, ranking us among the world's leading railway construction companies.
The electric passenger locomotives KZ4AC, in service for 3 years, will be maintained in Astana, with plans for a satellite depot in southern Kazakhstan. This is our company's first maintenance contract in Kazakhstan, following a previous contract awarded by KTZ in 2010 for the supply of 200 double freight locomotives and 95 passenger locomotives.
With this contract, our company becomes a key player in the maintenance of rolling stock in Kazakhstan. The 25-year agreement, worth nearly €100 million, solidifies our presence in the market and underscores KTZ's trust in our capabilities.
