Paramount Boosts DTC Division with Shannon Buck as New EVP

Shannon Buck, a seasoned communications professional, has joined Paramount's direct-to-consumer division as executive vice president and head of communications and public relations. With over two decades of experience, Buck brings a wealth of expertise to her new role, which begins immediately.

Prior to Paramount, Buck served as executive vice president of integrated communications at NBCUniversal. Before that, she spent six years at Netflix, rising to vice president of series publicity. In her new role, Buck will oversee global communications and publicity strategy for Paramount+ and Pluto TV, leveraging her proven track record of driving subscriber acquisition and retention through award-winning campaigns.

Buck's appointment was announced in an email to staff by Cindy Holland, who is expanding her team at Paramount's direct-to-consumer division. Holland highlighted Buck's extensive experience and expertise in leading publicity and communications for content across platforms, specializing in direct-to-consumer audience engagement and brand building.
