Pfizer, Verizon Near Dividend Aristocrat Status, While Realty Income & Badger Meter Shine
Several notable companies have demonstrated impressive track records of increasing dividends, with some nearing or exceeding the 25-year mark required for 'Dividend Aristocrat' status in the United States. However, not all are recognised in Europe or Germany, and specific lists of non-Aristocrat companies with over 20 years of increases are not readily available.
Pfizer, a United States-listed company, stands out with a 5.6% dividend yield and an unbroken streak of 37 years of annual payout increases since the financial crisis. Meanwhile, Realty Income, also United States-based, offers a 5.4% yield and has been consistently boosting dividends for 27 years, despite not being a Dividend Aristocrat due to its status as a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).
Verizon, another United States company, provides a substantial 6.7% dividend yield and has been increasing its payouts for 23 years, making it a near-dividend aristocrat. Notably, Badger Meter, with 33 consecutive years of dividend hikes, is not mentioned among European or German Dividend Aristocrats, though specific lists of such companies were not found.
These companies, with their impressive dividend growth histories, offer attractive yields for investors. While Pfizer and Verizon approach Aristocrat status, Realty Income's REIT classification excludes it from the list. Badger Meter's notable record goes unrecognised in Europe, highlighting gaps in available data.
