Planet in Green Projects Signs Major Iran Solar Deal
Planet in Green Projects GmbH has signed a significant deal in Iran. The company has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Renewable Energy Organization of Iran (SUNA) for a 100 MW solar park near Tehran. Construction is slated to commence in the fall of 2016, with preparations already underway.
The solar park, once operational, is anticipated to generate around 165 million kWh of solar power annually over its 20-year lifespan. CEO Claus Preuss has expressed strong interest in further projects in Iran, with plans to develop more in the 10-20 MWp range. To ensure smooth operation, the company aims to establish a local operations and maintenance (O&M) team and collaborate closely with module and inverter suppliers for local technical and commercial support.
