Platinum Guild International Sets Ambitious Goals for Indian Jewellery Market

The Platinum Guild International (PGI) has outlined its strategic vision for the Indian jewellery market, aiming to position platinum as the metal of choice for modern Indian consumers. The aspirations were shared at the Platinum Buyer-Seller Meet 2025 in India, which served as a powerful catalyst in strengthening business confidence across PGI's retail and manufacturing network.

The event, held at the Grand Hyatt, Kochi, brought together 60 retailers and 14 manufacturers. It served as a forum for partners to collaborate on plans for the coming year, with a focus on marketing innovations, compelling brand storytelling, retailer-exclusive collections, and bi-metal design strategies.

PGI's goals for the Indian jewellery market are multifaceted. They include establishing platinum as a leading jewellery metal through product innovation, strategic marketing, retailer collaboration, and tapping the aspirations of new-age Indian consumers.

The collections showcased at the meet include Platinum Love Bands, Platinum Evara, and Men of Platinum. To ensure the purity of platinum under its programme, PGI partners with TUV India Pvt Ltd. Each piece of jewellery has an assured purity as high as 95%. A Unique Identification Number is also stamped on the jewellery, and the detailed description of the piece is provided.

PGI's quality assurance programme, which stamps 'Pt950' on every piece of jewellery, provides a tamper-proof quality assurance card to distinguish authentic platinum from other jewellery. This programme is in place to ensure transparency and that the platinum the consumer buys is of the highest quality.
