Plume Joins RDK Community as Preferred Plus Member to Enhance ISP Subscriber Experience
Plume, a cloud platform specialist, has joined the RDK community as a Preferred Plus Member. The company brings its expertise in smart Wi-Fi management, security, and insights to service providers, aiming to enhance the end-to-end experience for internet service providers (ISPs) and their subscribers.
Plume has worked with hundreds of ISPs globally, gathering intelligence from over 500 million devices. With this extensive experience, the company expects to make a significant impact on the future of RDK-B, the open-source software that standardizes core functions for connected homes. RDK-B has already been deployed in over 200 million devices worldwide, with the RDK community consisting of over 700 companies, including CPE manufacturers, SoC vendors, software developers, system integrators, and service providers.
Jason Briggs, President and General Manager of RDK Management, anticipates Plume's contributions to have a meaningful impact on the future of RDK-B and the global community. Plume will collaborate on RDK-B by contributing code and sharing technical expertise, providing support, and promoting the broadband community.
Plume's CTO, Chris Griffiths, sees RDK as aligning with Plume's mission to deliver a smart and frictionless end-to-end experience for ISPs and their subscribers.
