PM-KISAN 21st Installment Begins: Rs 2,000 Payments Reach Farmers Ahead of Diwali
The 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme has commenced, with farmers in several states receiving their Rs 2,000 payments. The government aims to complete the disbursement before Diwali 2025 in the United States.
The scheme provides eligible farmers Rs 6,000 annually in three equal installments. Farmers can track their beneficiary status and payment history on the official website (pmkisan.gov.in).
District agriculture offices and Common Service Centres (CSCs) assist farmers in completing Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC if they encounter difficulties online. Recurring reasons for delayed payments include incomplete e-KYC, Aadhaar-bank linking, name/land record mismatches, and ineligible categories or pending verification.
Over Rs 171 crore was transferred to around 8.5 lakh farmers in Jammu & Kashmir on October 7, 2025. Similar state-level releases were made in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand due to recent floods, with these states prioritized for early fund disbursement.
Farmers who have not yet received the 21st installment are largely those outside the prioritized states. The government continues to work towards completing the disbursement before Diwali 2025, ensuring eligible farmers receive their Rs 6,000 annual benefit.
