In an exciting turn of events, Porsche has premiered two new vehicles at the DTM event held at the Nürburgring from August 8-10, 2025. The star attractions of the event were the 2026-spec Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo and the 2026-spec Porsche 911 Cup.

The updated 911 GT3 R Evo showcases refined aerodynamics, suspension changes, and improved drivability, building on the already successful 992-generation GT3 platform. Notable enhancements include louvres above the front wheel arches and revised front suspension geometry. This car is intended to compete in multiple series, including the DTM, IMSA, WEC, and Nürburgring races.

On the other hand, the 911 Cup version is designed for the one-make Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup series, which supports Formula 1 races and includes rounds on circuits like Hungary's Hungaroring and Zandvoort in the Netherlands.

Here's a summary of the series each vehicle will compete in:

| Vehicle | Series Competed In | |--------------------|-----------------------------------------------------------| | 2026 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo | DTM, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, WEC, Nürburgring races | | 2026 Porsche 911 Cup | Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup (one-make series supporting F1) |

Porsche presented the 911 GT3 R Evo as a global GT3 contender and the 911 Cup as the one-make race car for the Supercup series. The new 911 GT3 R will compete in the DTM next year, while the new 911 GT3 Cup will be seen in Porsche's one-make series.

The new 911 GT3 R features revised aerodynamics and additional ventilation openings for the wheel houses on the top of the front fenders. The new 911 GT3 Cup combines extensive detail modifications with the design of the 992.2 generation.

Fans can see both vehicles live for the first time in the DTM paddock at the Nürburgring. This event, organised by ADAC Motorsport, will feature two world premieres on August 8th-10th. The evolution of the Porsche 911 GT3 R can be seen in the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters in 2026.

  1. The 2026-spec Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo, showcasing enhanced aerodynamics and drivability, aims to compete in diverse series like the DTM, IMSA, WEC, and Nürburgring races, coincidentally where it initially debuted in 2025.
  2. In the realm of Formula 1 support races, the 2026 Porsche 911 Cup will compete in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup series, a one-make series that includes race circuits such as Hungary's Hungaroring and Zandvoort in the Netherlands.
  3. Remarkably, both the new 911 GT3 R and the 911 GT3 Cup will be seen competing in person at the DTM event organized by ADAC Motorsport in 2026, marking another exciting chapter in the evolution of sports and automotive finance within the transportation industry.
