Daryl Simm Steps Down as CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Appointed as President and COO of Omnicom Group

Daryl Simm, who has served as CEO of Omnicom Media Group (OMG) for over two decades, is stepping down from his role and will be taking on a new position as president and chief operating officer (COO) of Omnicom Group. Simm will continue to work directly with John Wren, the chairman and CEO of Omnicom Group, in his new role.

Simm's tenure at Omnicom spans more than two decades, having joined the company in 1998. During his time at OMG, he played a significant role in the development of the group since its inception. John Wren praised Simm's contributions, stating that he was instrumental in the growth and success of OMG.

In his new role, Simm will oversee business operations across the holding company. He will work closely with Wren to ensure the continued success of Omnicom Group.

Taking over as CEO of Omnicom Media Group is Nick Garrett, who has been appointed CEO of Omnicom Oceania, a new unified entity that consolidates Omnicom's operations across Australia and New Zealand, including media and creative agencies, under one leadership structure. Garrett has extensive leadership experience from BBDO agencies Clemenger and Colenso and most recently served as Global Chief Marketing Officer at Deloitte Digital.

The appointment of Garrett effectively replaces the previous media group leadership with him at the helm, reporting directly to John Wren. While the original Omnicom Media Group CEO title per se is now transitioned into the broader role of CEO of Omnicom Oceania, Nick Garrett is effectively the successor to Daryl Simm in leading Omnicom’s media operations in this region under the new unified structure.

Florian Adamski has also been appointed as the CEO of Omnicom Media Group, succeeding Daryl Simm. Adamski has a long history with Omnicom, having served in various roles within the company for over two decades. He will lead Omnicom Media Group following his appointment as its CEO.

The appointments of Daryl Simm and Florian Adamski are at both the holding company and network level, reflecting the importance of their roles in the continued success of Omnicom Group.

Simm will oversee finance and business operations across the holding company in his new role as president and COO of Omnicom Group. With the appointment of Daryl Simm and Florian Adamski at both the holding company and network level, their careers within Omnicom Group continue to be of significant importance in securing the success of the business.
