In Wiesbaden, Germany, several bus lines have been rerouted due to ongoing traffic trials and construction-related detours, as of August 16, 2025. The key changes are related to the traffic trial at Rheinufer Biebrich affecting lines 9 and 14, and multiple temporary detours for various lines due to street closures and construction from early to mid-August 2025.

The rerouted lines include 3, 6, 16, 22, 27, 28, 33, 37, 45, 49, N7, N3, 23, 24, 37, 49, N11, and 17. Detailed new routes can be found on the ESWE-Verkehr website, primarily in German.

For those seeking specific information about bus lines or detailed route maps, ESWE Verkehr, Wiesbaden's local public transport operator, offers detailed detour notices and maps. The timetable and fare information can also be accessed via the RMV hotline at (069) 24 48024.

Here are some notable changes:

  • Lines 9 and 14 no longer serve the "Schloß Biebrich" stop and are affected by the closure of Rheingaustraße in front of Biebrich Palace, which is reserved for bicycle traffic.
  • Line 22 and 27 will end at the "Brunhildenstraße" stop and will start their journey from the same stop, continuing via Siegfriedring and Hasengartenstraße to the replacement stop in Weidenbornstraße, then Weidenbornstraße and Mainzer Straße to the "Welfenstraße" stop, and returning to the regular route.
  • Line 27 will temporarily run parallel with Hasengartenstraße, then return to its regular route via Hasengartenstraße.
  • Line 27 will also be rerouted towards the Leisure Pool.
  • Trips for lines 3, 6, 33, and 49 will include a stop at Brunhildenstraße but will be rerouted towards Biebrich, Mainz, Kostheim, and Bierstadt.
  • Lines 16, 28, 37, and 45 will not end at the "Vocational School Center". These lines will be rerouted from "Main Station A" via Salzbachstraße, Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Welfenstraße, Weidenbornstraße, Brunhildenstraße, and Gustav-Stresemann-Ring to the regular route. These trips will not include a stop at the Leisure Pool either.
