Rapidly expanding global reach of Pili Carrera's kid's clothing line
In a strategic move to broaden its horizons, Galician children's fashion firm Pili Carrera has embarked on an expansion journey that has seen it establish a significant presence in three new countries - Panama, Mexico, and Portugal.
The brand, founded by Pilar and Juan Antonio Carrera in 1987, has already made its mark in Portugal with five stores before the recent opening in Viseu. This expansion, however, did not include a store in Russia, as previously reported.
Since the beginning of the year, Pili Carrera has opened seven new stores. Apart from the aforementioned Portuguese city, the brand has made its debut in Panama City, Reynosa and Veracruz in Mexico, and Xativa in Valencia, Spain. The brand also marked its entry into the United States by setting up shop in a shopping centre in Miami.
Mexico, in particular, has become a key market for Pili Carrera, with the brand boasting a substantial presence there. It currently operates two stores in two shopping centres in Mexico City, and its ambitious expansion plans for the American continent continue to unfold.
Pili Carrera's expansion has seen it venture into more than 800 multimodal spaces worldwide, including prestigious locations such as Harrods in London. In the Spanish market, the brand has a network of thirty monobrand stores, with the latest additions being Oviedo and Xativa.
Despite its global success, Pili Carrera has not ventured into the Russian market, as previously stated. The brand's financials reflect its growth, with a turnover of 6.59 million euros recorded in the 2009 financial year. The brand continued to expand both nationally and internationally in 2011, marking a significant milestone in its journey.
