Recognition Events: Golden Kuna Awards Presented by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce
October 12, 2023 - Vertiv and GLS claimed the top titles for large enterprises in Zagreb and Zagreb County at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce awards.
According to Poslovni Dnevnik/Suzana Varosanec, various-sized companies were honored with awards from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce for their impressive business results in 2022. The HGK Chamber of Zagreb's president, Josip Zaher, mentioned that the majority of businesses within their jurisdiction focus on wholesale and retail trade, with half of their exports contributing to Croatia's total exports.
The forecast for 2024 is promising, as Goran Šaravanja, HGK's chief economist, stated that Croatia should be one of the fastest growing economies in the EU, with inflation dropping around 5%.

The selection process included the evaluation of results from the ESG questionnaire for the first time. In the City of Zagreb, M.T.M. Creator, Syntio, and Vertiv Croatia took home the Golden Kuna awards for small, medium, and large companies respectively. GLS Croatia and Infigo IS from Zagreb County were the winners in the medium and large company categories.

Josip Zaher, after congratulating the talented companies, pointed out that those from Zagreb and Zagreb County made up 40% of all enterprises in Croatia, generating 56% of the total turnover, 46% of the profit, and employing 45% of the workforce in the national economy.
The Deputy Prefect of Zagreb County, Ervin Kolarec, and the Head of the Zagreb City Office for Economy, Ana Pavičić Kaselj, also congratulated the winners.
