Record Low Fuel Prices in Germany
Record-breaking lowest prices for superunleaded and diesel fuel in 2023
Good news for motorists! Today, fuel prices are hitting the lowest they've been all year. According to the ADAC's weekly price comparison, E10 gasoline and diesel are now cheaper than ever in 2025.
On a national average, E10 was 1.5 cents cheaper and cost around 1.672 euros per liter on Tuesday. Diesel followed suit, dropping 1.6 cents to 1.556 euros per liter—the lowest values since October 2024.
The ADAC attributes the drop in prices to the declining oil prices. Despite this decrease, they argue that the reduction hasn’t been fully passed onto customers and criticize the lack of significant savings at the pump.
Before you hit the road, it's important to note that these prices are records for this year. For some context, in late April 2020, E10 gasoline prices dropped drastically to around 1.15 euros per liter during the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, the lowest recent averages for diesel remain above 1.55 euros.
Even though we're not seeing new record lows just yet, savings are still in reach. So, as you fill up at the pump, take a moment to appreciate the comfortable pricing at the pumps.
Happy driving! 🚗💪🏼💨
