The Forum shopping centre in Eisenach, Thuringia, has undergone a significant transformation, with several new stores now open for business as part of its recent grand opening on July 3, 2025. Among the key retailers, the REWE Centre, Action, and an innovative pet market called Fressnapf Future Store have commenced operations.
While the exact opening date for Ernsting's Family in the Forum Eisenach shopping centre has not been confirmed, it is expected to open its doors a few weeks later, further enriching the shopping experience for the centre's visitors.
The new REWE store, spread over 3,600 square metres, has become a much-anticipated addition for die-hard REWE customers in the area. The store offers a variety of payment options, including four staffed cashiers for those who prefer the traditional method, and seven self-checkout stations for a more self-service experience.
The new REWE store also boasts an express counter for those in a hurry, with no queuing or repacking required. Additionally, it offers over 30,000 items, including snacks and meals for pick-up or on-site consumption. The deli "deli am Markt" has also moved into the new REWE store, catering to both meat-lovers and vegetarians/vegans.
Joining REWE and the other key retailers in the Forum Eisenach are Aldi, dm, Fressnapf, and K-Kiosk. The shopping centre, with its diverse range of stores, is now better equipped to cater to the needs of its diverse customer base.
