Revised Airport Transportation Routes Unveiled
Porto's Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport has expanded its transportation options with the introduction of two new direct bus routes. FlixBus, the operations director in Portugal, has introduced bi-directional connections between the airport and the cities of Braga and Guimarães. These new routes aim to offer more mobility alternatives for travelers using the airport.
The new service will provide up to 22 direct connections for passengers from Braga and up to 14 for those from Guimarães. Travel time for both journeys remains approximately 40 minutes, offering a quick, efficient, and comfortable solution for passengers.
Tiago Cavaco Alves, the operations director of FlixBus in Portugal, expressed that the aim of these new connections is to offer more mobility options to everyone who uses the airport. With more and better timetables, the trend of passengers choosing buses to travel to and from the airport is growing.
In line with its strategy, FlixBus aims to increase direct connections to all national airports, promoting public transport as a practical, economical, and sustainable alternative for passengers traveling by plane. According to Alves, by facilitating access to the country's main airports, they are contributing to more integrated and environmentally friendly mobility.
Ticket prices for the new service start at €2.99, making them an affordable option for travelers. The tickets and timetables can be accessed on the FlixBus platforms.
These new connections reinforce FlixBus' strategy of enhancing public transport links, which is beneficial for both passengers and the environment by providing affordable, efficient travel options.
