REWE Group Buys Heusenstamm Property for Modernization, Adding New Stores
Heusenstamm's municipal property on Industriestraße is set to change hands, with HS Immobilien GmbH purchasing it for the REWE Group. This sale, recommended by the magistrate, will facilitate a significant modernization of the REWE site, bringing substantial benefits to the city's retail landscape.
The property, which will remain largely green, will see some changes. The front area will accommodate additional parking spaces, while the rear will feature a green parking deck to ease traffic congestion. The REWE Group plans a comprehensive modernization, including the construction of a photovoltaic system and the integration of green areas.
The current gas station and car wash will be replaced by new sales areas. Upon completion, the site will host three markets: a REWE market, a discount store, and, much anticipated by locals, a drugstore. Mayor Steffen Ball welcomes these investments, acknowledging the project's importance for Heusenstamm.
The sale of the municipal property to the REWE Group is expected to bring significant improvements to the retail scene in Heusenstamm. The modernization plans, which include green initiatives and new shopping options, are set to enhance the city's offerings and relieve traffic pressures.
