Riviera Calling Launches to Boost Innovative Food Brands
Riviera Calling, a new brand collective, has launched to support and grow innovative food concepts. Its founders, Mischa Steigerwald and Julia Tyrolt, bring a successful track record in developing brands like Burgerheart and Wirtshaus-Freunde. The collective aims to provide tailored assistance in branding, expansion, and operations for young gastro-brands.
One of the first brands to join Riviera Calling is Munchies, a Mexican-American fast food concept. Starting as a food truck in Berlin in 2021, Munchies has since expanded to three locations in the city. Its menu offers a variety of dishes, including Birria Tacos, Melts, Fried Chicken, and plant-based options, all prepared according to halal guidelines.
Riviera Calling serves as an incubator for young brands like Munchies, providing specific support in areas such as branding, positioning, expansion, marketing, design, and operational structures. Other concepts that have found a home under Riviera Calling include Waldbacher Wirtsleut, Gimme Gelato, and Dogtown Burrito Company. CONCEPT FAMILY Franchise AG, the parent company, has a strong background in the catering industry, with around 100 full-service restaurants and a turnover of approximately 183 million euros in 2024.
Riviera Calling, backed by the extensive experience of its founders and the resources of CONCEPT FAMILY Franchise AG, is well-positioned to help young food brands like Munchies grow and succeed. By offering tailored support in various aspects of branding and operations, Riviera Calling is set to become a significant player in the German food industry.
