Road closures expected in Astana's city center for multiple days
Rewrapped Road Repairs in Astana
** heads up, peeps!**
A chunk of the roads in our beloved Astana are about to go under the repair hammer, according to the city's transport and road infrastructure management.
First off, watch out for Kaldayakov Street, between Tauelsizdik Avenue and Nazarbayev Avenue. They'll be doin' mid-level repairs there, and you'll need to dodge that part of the street from June 7 to 13. They'll set up a traffic division plan for both directions, only allowing cars on one side at a time.
You'll also want to steer clear of Abylai Khan Avenue from Zhansugurov Street to Manas Street. They're layin' down the top layer of road surface, and the whole stretch, including the intersection with Manas Street, will be totally blocked off from June 7 to 8.
back to Kaldayakov Street again, the repairs continue from June 7 to 9, but only a partial closure this time, with traffic being organized on one side of the road in both directions.
Similarly, they'll lay the top layer of surface on Domalak Ana Street, from the Korghalzhyn Highway to Mukhamedkhanov Street. Again, that section will be off-limits entirely from June 7 to 8.
Roads under repair aren't just a pain for drivers; pedestrians suffer too. So, be sure to map out your routes before you head out, and keep an eye on those temporary road signs and indicators that'll pop up.
As for other roads, the half-laid LRT lines are another story. Check 'em out if you're wondering what's new in town.
The repair project in Astana's roads will affect several key areas such as Kaldayakov Street, Abylai Khan Avenue, and Domalak Ana Street, with financing from the city's budget. Due to these repairs, it's important for drivers to avoid these roads and be mindful of traffic diversions, while pedestrians should also plan alternate routes.
