Salary levels in Russia are nearing the 100,000 ruble mark

In the vast landscape of Russia, the Altai Krai stands out for its high salaries, with some specialists earning more than 200,000 rubles per month. However, the specific jobs commanding such high wages remain unspecified in available search results.

According to a report by Rosstat, conducted among 95,400 organizations excluding small businesses, and covering 28.4 million workers, the average monthly salary in Russia in 2025 was 99,400 rubles, before tax. This figure represents a 37% increase from the April 2023 figure of 72,500 rubles.

The regions with the highest salaries in Russia are Chukotka AO (193,800 rubles), Moscow (178,200 rubles), Yamalo-Nenets AO (163,400 rubles), Magadan Oblast (155,100 rubles), and Sakhalin Oblast (148,500 rubles). On the other end of the spectrum, the Republic of Dagestan holds the lowest average monthly salary in Russia, at 45,400 rubles, while the Republic of Ingushetia and the Chechen Republic follow closely with 39,600 rubles and 43,100 rubles respectively. This gap between the highest and lowest salaries in Russia is almost five times.

While Altai Krai does not appear in the list of regions with the highest salaries, it is likely that high-paying roles are present in specialized sectors such as IT, finance, senior management, or medical professions nationally. The local labor market conditions in Altai Krai, however, may limit the number of such high-paying roles, with 46% of job applicants feeling that labor market conditions have deteriorated.

It's worth noting that significant pay of this magnitude is more often associated with remote or strategically important regions, or through federal incentive programs targeting hard-to-fill roles elsewhere in Russia and occupied territories. For instance, the Kremlin offers substantial financial incentives for professionals willing to work in occupied regions like the Donetsk and Luhansk areas or rural Russia.

In summary, while the specific high-demand jobs paying over 200,000 rubles monthly in Altai Krai remain undisclosed, it is clear that Russia's wage landscape is diverse, with significant disparities between regions. The Altai Krai, despite its high salaries, faces challenges in job availability and possibly salary growth for many professions locally.

In Altai Krai, it can be assumed that high-paying roles in finance, business, or other specialist sectors such as IT, senior management, or medical professions may exist, given the region's high salaries. However, the exact jobs commanding such high wages in Altai Krai remain unspecified.
