Secolve Launches OT-SAT: Pioneering OT Cybersecurity Awareness Platform
Secolve, a leading cybersecurity firm, has launched a pioneering online platform called OT-SAT. This new tool aims to boost social security awareness in operational technology (OT) environments, an area often overlooked in traditional IT-focused training.
OT-SAT is a self-paced learning platform featuring short video modules. It targets various roles within critical infrastructure management, including OT engineers, users, IT personnel, and corporate executives. This comprehensive approach ensures that everyone plays a part in building a robust cyber safety culture.
The need for such targeted training was identified by Secolve's founder and CEO, Laith Shahin. He noted that cybersecurity in OT environments is complex and new to many stakeholders. Human error, estimated to cause 95% of cybersecurity incidents, underscores the importance of proactive training.
Regulations like the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act (SOCI Act) and the Australian Essential Services Cyber Security Framework (AESCSF), coupled with increasing cyber-attacks, have made OT engineer upskilling a pressing need.
OT-SAT, developed in collaboration with the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), addresses OT security awareness on an organization-wide scale. By providing role-based training, it equips all stakeholders with the knowledge to protect Australia's most critical infrastructure resources.
