Shell's Q3 Earnings Soar to $4.3B Despite Brazilian Currency Impact

Royal Dutch Shell has announced its financial outlook for the third quarter, with adjusted earnings expected to reach around $4.3 billion. The company also shared updates on its production and trading performance.

Shell's production guidance for the quarter stands at 910,000 to 950,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of gas. Meanwhile, its liquified natural gas production guidance has been raised to between seven million and 7.4 million metric tonnes.

The company's Brazilian operations are expected to impact earnings, with a knock of between $200 million and $400 million. This is due to the strengthening of the Brazilian real against the US dollar. Shell's oil and gas trading operation and integrated gas division both performed strongly in the third quarter.

Shell's adjusted earnings for the third quarter are expected to be around $4.3 billion. The company's production and trading performance have shown positive signs, despite the impact of currency fluctuations on earnings from Brazilian operations.
