Solingen Launches Free Bulky Waste Collection for Elderly & Disabled
Solingen's Technical Operations, in partnership with AWO, have launched a unique service for elderly and disabled residents. The service, available twice a year, offers free bulky waste collection directly from their homes.
Residents aged 67 and above, or those with a severe disability ID, living alone without younger relatives can benefit from this service. It's designed to make disposing of large items more convenient and accessible.
The service is coordinated by the Solingen Waste Management Service (Entsorgungsbetrieb Solingen). They ensure that bulky waste items are collected directly from the apartment or basement, saving users the trouble of transporting these items.
This service aims to support elderly and disabled residents in Solingen, providing them with a hassle-free way to dispose of bulky waste. It's available twice a year, free of charge, and is coordinated by the city's waste management service.
