Star Mountain Capital Appoints William J. Kelly as Senior Adviser
William J. Kelly, a seasoned executive with over four decades of experience in the alternative investment industry, has joined Star Mountain Capital as a senior adviser.
Kelly's extensive background includes serving as the CEO of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association from 2014 to 2024, and prior to that, he held the same position at Robeco Investment Management and Boston Partners Asset Management. He is also the founder of Educational Alpha, LLC, an education and thought leadership platform.
In his new role at Star Mountain Capital, Kelly will contribute to investor relations, portfolio governance, educational initiatives, and thought leadership as the firm scales its alternative investing platform. Star Mountain Capital, which manages approximately $4 billion in assets, focuses on direct investments in the lower-middle market through debt and equity and secondary investments.
Kelly's appointment comes as Star Mountain Capital continues to grow and strengthen its position in the alternative investment ecosystem.
