The program was birthed back in 2011 and has since been responsible for securing €500m in investments for start-ups!
This year, investment firm Quintas Capital is joining the ranks as a new partner. Already on board are heavyweights like Cork City Council, Cork County Council, Grant Thornton, Broadlake, and The Currency.
Some of the past participants include Crest Solutions (now Catalyx), Velo Coffee, Nicki Hoyne, All Real Nutrition, Green Rebel, Ground Wellbeing, and Doctrine Skincare. With such a power-packed lineup, it's no wonder that the Entrepreneur Experience has become the go-to event for those who dare to dream big!
In 2024, a whopping 48% of the participating start-ups were founded or co-founded by women, hailing from a wide range of sectors including fashion, food, medtech, AI, edtech, renewables, fitness, and skincare. AxisBIC is all about championing female entrepreneurship and encouraging more women to take that leap of faith, turning their ideas into blooming businesses!
Larry O'Donoghue, CEO of AxisBIC, expressed his delight at the high number of female founders in 2024 and hopes to see this trend continue. He believes the Entrepreneur Experience offers a rare chance for start-ups to tap into the collective wisdom of Ireland's business elite, while also fostering valuable peer-to-peer support.
